This Wednesday, Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo López asked the US and the European Union (EU) to sanction at the same time those responsible for human rights violations in his country, in addition to thanking the Government of Colombia for the Temporary Protection Status for Venezuelan migrants.

In a statement released in Madrid, López reiterated the need for international support, both to address the “humanitarian crisis” suffered by Venezuelans, as well as to achieve “free” elections in his country.
